African Green Pigeon

There’s an African green pigeon, Treron calvus, at the top of this tree. I can hardly believe its colour.

What a bird!

Apparently they frequent tree canopies and have a parrot-like climbing ability. This one has already reached the top of the tree, so I haven’t seen a pigeon climbing like a parrot yet.

It’s something I’d love to see. Wouldn’t you?
