A Common Hoopoe appears

I’ve seen a Common Hoopoe before, in Italy. It’s not a bird I’m expecting to see in Kenya, yet there it is.

That long crest, the elegant down curved bill, and the distinctive pinkish plumage with black and white wing pattern are unmistakable.

As is their call.
