Zebras at sunset and a vision of heaven

My guide, Johnson, here at Governors’ Camp in the Masai Mara, has been brilliant. He’s responded to my every wish, respected that what I want is very different from all the other guests he normally has, and taken me to some beautiful spots. The most beautiful spot of all, though, is the view through the trees of a herd of Zebra at sunset.

The filtered golden light is extraordinary, the dust haze and the clouds of insects add to the intensity of the atmosphere and the stark patterning of the Zebras is a beautiful contrast.

Wonderful, isn’t it?

There are lions nearby and the Zebras are wary. They gather together and process through the golden light.

It’s a vision of heaven.
