Marsh Harrier at Greylake

We’re on a trip to RSPB Greylake in Somerset. There’s a male Marsh Harrier harrying the marshes.

I love its grey go-faster stripes. It’s very 1970s.

It’s covering quite distance. Occasionally it comes over the dabbling ducks and resting Lapwings and sends them up into the air.

It sees another male Marsh Harrier and there’s grappling, mid-air fighting, and a chase.

Unfortunately it’s all behind this fence and impossible to get clear photographs of.

What a pity. Wonderful to see though.
