Return to the Drumstick Truffleclub
Here’s a fungus from last October which escaped my editing until now. It’s the Drumstick Truffleclub; a fungus which grows on a fungus:
I’ve seen it before and photographed it by lying down, nose to the soil:
This time I only have my phone with me but it’s still a great experience:
Under there is a false truffle fungus, on which it is growing. I’d love to see it, but I just can’t bring myself to dig one up and look. It’s a rare fungus and I’d like to see it next year too. What would you do?
