Description
The Ring captures the sun setting behind the Ring of Brodgar in Orkney. The Ring has been photographed many thousands of times and I wanted to create something different. I’m inspired by the glimpse of the past that we get from seeing such ancient Neolithic structures and so wanted to photograph it merely glimpsed through the flowering grasses and vegetation. Their concealment is a metaphor for the concealing nature of time.
This UltraHD Photo Print uses photographic paper and a laser light in a revolutionary developing process with extreme resolution and definition for maximum clarity and realism with increased saturation and luminosity. They are truly beautiful prints.
