260,000 territories

There are 260,000 territories of Sedge Warblers in the UK. They manage to fly non-stop from sub-Saharan Africa to the exact spot they left the year before. I can’t even manage that and I have SatNav.

This one is enjoying having a noisy rambling warble in the near-bursting Hawthorn bush.

They usually start singing from deep within cover and gradually hop up and eventually end up somewhere near the top.

Love and patience keep me waiting. As well as strong arm muscles to hold this ridiculous lens up ready for it to appear.

Birds and a gym weights workout.

That’s my kind of day.
