Return to Bass

Whenever I take a large quantity of photographs there’s an even larger amount of selecting, importing, editing, exporting, selecting and uploading before I can add them to this blog. Occasionally I don’t stay up all night to do it and some photographs I like are left on the cutting room floor.

The time a Harbour Seal demolished a Bass by skinning it, eating the flesh and then swallowing the head whole, while crabs attempted to steal a few morsels, is one of those moments I look so many more photographs than I could possibly process.

Here’s my original post:

And here’s a shot I didn’t post at the time, with a Black-Headed Gull interested in any morsels floating past:

A special time on the River Dart. I’m looking forward to our next trip there.
