A close Shag

I was delighted my friend Martin visited Westray this summer and we had a couple of fabulous day trips to Papa Westray on the 12-seater ferry. Apart from the occasional stressful moments of wondering whether we would get back on the last ferry of the day, it was overwhelmingly wonderful.

Just look at how close we could get to the Shags on the coast:

And when you look even closer, look how wonderful their green eyes and yellow gape are:

I can’t wait to be there again.
