Black Guillemot with a catch

I spent many days on the coasts of Westray and Papa Westray this summer photographing Black Guillemots.

This one has a particularly attractive fish in its beak. It’ll soon be parading it back to its rocky nest for its chick, but for now it’s content to display it on the rocks. I’m happy about that.
