Where Golden Roseroot proliferates

As soon as I saw Golden Roseroot, Rhodiola rosea, I assumed it was a garden escapee. It’s a brightly flowering succulent; surely it’s not native to Orkney? Not so, it’s a native plant which thrives on protected cliffs around Westray. “Plentiful at Githigeo” says The Flora and Fauna of Westray, Orkney.

I smile every time I see it.
