I’ve been enjoying the Black Guillemots on Westray this summer. Here’s one bringing a Butterfish, Pholis gunnellus, or Rock Gunnel, into its rock-crevice nest on the west coast of Westray.
It is beautiful light, with the sun sparkling on the blue and turquoise waters below and glimmering off the encrusted rocks.
