Kits

Young Rabbits are such perfectly packaged bundles of protein that it’s no wonder Rabbits need to breed like… well, Rabbits.

Some parts of Westray are so overrun with Rabbits that the earth seems to be moving as I drive past and they scurry away. We either need predators or human control of such population explosions. They’re a feature of the imbalance of nature caused by disrupting natural food chains by removing key species, or introducing non-naturally occurring ones. Wolves and Foxes might not be such a good idea on such a small island packed with sheep and chickens, but I wish we had more birds of prey to deal with so many Rabbits.

Either that or we should have a roaring trade in roasted Rabbit.
