Working Westray #8

There’s an old capped well, overgrown with plants in a small area surrounded by low walls in the centre of Pierowall. Tommy and Mike have been restoring it, clearing the plants, laying a stone paved area and restoring the original pump to put back on top of the well.

They have been ably supervised by Nessa, the dog.
