Working Westray #3
It’s Wednesday, so it’s time for my series on Working Westray.
Cass, the vet, has come out to the island to scan a group of heifers. Heifers are cows which haven’t had a calf yet. Eight of them are lined up to see whether the new bull has been working his magic on them.
They’re beautiful animals and it’s clear Cass loves her job.
You have to.
You really do.
It’s exciting as we wait for the results of the scans. I’m staying at the head end.
It’s good news.
We’re looking forward to lots of little calves in the near future.
