Chasing

Once species chasing another is the order of the day. Inter-species conflict is breaking out all over the island.

We’ve had an Oystercatcher chasing a Great Skua:

We’ve had an Oystercatcher (again!) chasing off a Great Black-Backed gull:

Then we’ve had an Arctic Skua chasing a Puffin:

What conflict will arise in the skies today?

Today it’s the turn of the Arctic Terns to get all defensive about the presence of a Great Black-Backed Gull.

The size difference has no effect upon the sharpness of the beak or the willingness to defend your chicks:

The skies are full of behaviour. All you have to do is go outside and look to be part of the entire experience.
