The pool

There’s a rock pool fed with fresh water fram a tiny waterfall on the west coast of Westray.

I love how green the algae are.

Looking out to the Ocean from the waterfall on a beautiful day is breathtaking.

As we potter, a Redshank flies towards us and then does several loops peeping wildly.

Then there’s a commotion above the cliffs:

An Arctic Skua has taken exception to a Raven. I’m shocked by the difference in size.

It’s soon over, as they disappear over the land and beyond our view. There’s a boat in the distance. I wonder if it’s collecting from the creels which surround the coast?

There’s an arch here which has no name. At least it didn’t have a name. Now it’s known as the arch with no name.

What a great day to surround yourself with nature.
