It’s sunset on Westray and I’ve abandoned the car on the grass and marched off to the sea. It’s magnificent in this golden light.
As the spray is whipped off the waves by the wind it catches the gold of the sun in twinkles and sparkles.
A solitary gull flies in and lands on the inky sea.
And then I realise the sea is full of gulls,
My heart is full of golden light and inky sea.
