Russian Corks
It’s getting more and more unusual to find Russian corks on the beaches and sea caves on Westray. Here are some sheltering in a cave, trapped by the force of the waves jamming them into tight crevices:
As well as not making them anymore, the shores are being picked clean by enthusiastic collectors. Like me. Here is one I found:
They are always an interesting find.
