Fast and scratchy

This Common or Greater Whitethroat has a grey head and a very white throat. That means it’s a male. It’s fast and has a scratchy song which it blasts out into this open area with trees and scrubland.

I’m getting glimpses of the female, but never long enough to photograph her.

It’s the showy male who is striking all the poses.

And, with my camera, so am I.
