Redstarts

Redstarts are a joy to watch. Whenever I’m lucky enough to find a pair and see them feeding their chicks, I can be lost for the rest of the day. Thirsty? Didn’t notice. Hungry? Didn’t feel it. Gone dark? Yes, I’ll finally go home.

Delightful, aren’t they?

There are approximately 100,000 pairs in the UK according to the RSPB.
