One person’s White Ibis is another person’s Bin Chicken
Even if it’s a common species it’s well worth appreciating. I remember going to Australia (I had half a day’s work there all expenses paid and stayed for three weeks) and seeing Australian White Ibis, Threskiornis molucca, and being so thrilled, yet finding that locals referred to them as ‘Bin Chickens’.
One person’s White Ibis is another person’s Bin Chicken.

That’s why I still take photographs of Mallards, Mute Swans and Robins. Let familiarity breed love rather than contempt. Aren’t Mallards magnificent?
