The River Exe – Spotted Redshank

Spotted Redshank, Tringa erythopus, are such elegant birds. I love their long necks, precision bills and patterned plumage. It was a thrill to see one on a cruise on the River Exe from Exmouth.

In fact, it was such fun to go on the Stuart Line cruise, we’re going again. And I’ve also pre-ordered our pasties.

A cruise, birds and a pastie. It’s heaven in Devon.
