Long neck, long bill and long tail
The Northern Pintail, Anas acuta, has a long, elegant neck, a long beautifully curved beak, and a long pointed tail. It also has stunning patterns on its feathers and a pink-on-brown iridescence on its head which must be one of the most subtle and beautiful shades of colour amongst all the ducks.

The details are superb.

This one has a clipped wing and is in the wildfowl collection in The Regent’s Park. It made my afternoon seeing it.
