Another introduced species

The Egyptian Goose, Alopochen aegyptiaca, is another species introduced into to the UK to the estates and parklands of stately homes by the landed gentry.

They’re found in the wild in East Anglia and along the Thames. This one was in The Regent’s Park. Their natural predators are leopards, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and crocodiles. That’s not a list of likely predators they will face in the UK, at least not unless they fly into London Zoo.
