Multiple organ failure on a stick

It’s the season of multiple organ failure on a stick, otherwise known as the Death Cap, Amanita phalloides.

Death Caps contain the poison that keeps on giving, circulating and recirculating in your body so that eventually you will need organ transplants to stay alive. Even one cubic centimetre of it would be too close for comfort.

Be careful if you’re foraging out there and make sure you join a recognised fungus group with the skills to guide you if you intend to do anything other than take photographs of wonderful fungi.
