As I drive back to the house I spot a Short-Eared Owl on a fence post. I swing the car into the space next to a field gate in the hope any oncoming traffic can get past and walk behind the car with my camera, hoping to get a shot of it on the post.
I have no time, as a car follows behind me and it flies directly in front of the driver. I’m relieved it’s not harmed as it flies off across the fields.
Wow!
