A dull day enlivened with a sprinkle of Linnets

It’s a dull day in Somerset but it’s enlivened by the sound of Linnets in the air. There’s a mobile flock exploring this heathland and the joy I feel in hearing them overhead and seeing them sparkle as they sprinkle themselves on the bare branches is greater, much greater, than the photograph I have of the occasion.
