I’ve been enjoying reviewing some of my images from Orkney Mainland taken this summer and this one, from a sequence I took of Arctic Terns at Birsay, is a favourite:

Fluttering fights are a feature of their social interaction. If only I could tell what’s being communicated here. I suspect science will tell us, eventually.
