Golden light
The light is incredible on the west coast of Westray. It’s golden, and reflects beautifully off the Atlantic onto the rocky coast. There’s a family of Wheatears here and they’re very wary of anything on two legs. They bounce and flit between the shattered rocks as soon as I approach. They’ve already scattered before I can even see them.
Patience, fieldwork and motivation gets me closer.
As does a telephoto lens.
