Eider or
I’m waiting for my car to be MOTd. After a dull hour I have to go back to check how it’s going. “Still on the ramp”, they say.
Luckily I’ve got my camera with me. I sit on a picnic bench and watch the Eider Ducks washing and preening.

They have such subtle plumage, it’s a pleasure to get close to them and appreciate them in all their out-of-season brown finery.

They’re such fine ducks.
My car passed its MOT and all is right with the world.
