The white-tipped tail
There’s a Red Fox, Vulpes vulpes, in the forest. At first I can only see its tail, held aloft, with its distinctive white tip. It’s a noticeable signal, like a flag hoisted for all to see. What a thrill to glimpse it.
It’s got a sore shoulder and is limping. It’s finding food well, and busy going about its business, so the signs are good.
I hope its injury heals soon.
