Great Crested Grebes

The pair of great Crested Grebes on Stover Country Park lake are getting frisky:

They’re in full breeding plumage, with their spectacular crests in fine condition:

Hilarious, aren’t they?

They dance with one another, erecting their crests:

There’s a full display involving weed and dancing, which Great Crested Grebes are famous for, but they haven’t done that while I’ve been here yet.

I’ll just have to come again and hope.
