Little Egret landing
There’s a Little Egret across the water at Riserva Statale Pantani dell’Inferno. I’m thrilled when it takes off, flies over and lands right in front of me. Brilliant! I’ve got a sequence of massive images of the bird in beautiful light:

I can’t stop chuckling at it. Pitching your landing is clearly an art form:

And the grace with which it sticks its landing is a joy.

I suspect a few fish are about to meet their end.
