Wet Gannet, shaking
This Gannet was very wet after a dive.

As it flew past it decided to shake itself dry.

I suspect it’s the same way that a dog would shake itself dry. I’d need to watch it in slow motion to be sure.

It seems to originate from the beak and pass along the body in magnificent waves.

It looks just like a twisted towel as you wring it dry. That sentence means nothing if you’ve always had a dryer.

Then it flies on, drier and considerably lighter.
