Fields like corduroy
I love the hay and silage fields on Westray.

From above they look just like corduroy, with their parallel cords of cut grass. The size of the wale is much larger than on my old trousers, though.

I’m also tickled by the plants which grow in the middle of the single-track road where the passing wheels just can’t crush them. If I was a plant, that would be me.
