Long-Tailed Bushtits in blossom

The Long-Tailed Bushtits are still trailing in large caravans across the countryside, making desperate dashes between cover in family groups.

Their contact calls tzeee from the treetops. This one will look wonderful as soon as the blossom erupts.

Soon I won’t be able to see them for leaves. For now, here’s one on a winter twig.
