Flystool
There’s a fabulous ink cap on chipped wood on the edge of the field.
It’s Coprinopsis lagopus var. lagopus, the Hare’s Foot Inkcap. When small it looks like a Hare’s foot sticking out of the ground. It soon transforms on a tall stem and the cap rolls inwards and upwards until it disappears entirely.
