Escape?

After seeing a couple of successful attacks by Great Skuas against juvenile Kittiwakes I feared the worst when this one strayed over a couple of Great Skuas:

They went for it with a fearsome passion which was awe-inspiring to see. It flapped its wings as hard as it possibly could to get some distance from its hunters.

I breathed an audible sigh of relief when it got away.

Others haven’t been so lucky.
