Floating islands

Looking out across the Bay of Tuquoy we can see a mirage. It might be an island.

The shape is constantly changing and sometimes looks multi-layered. I begin to wonder if it will strengthen and the island we can see will appear higher, lower or even upside down:

Then I begin to wonder if it’s an island at all. I’ve heard of Fata Morgana, the multi-layered mirages named by Italians in Sicily after Morgan le Fey, because of her magical powers.

Whatever it is, it’s magical.
