Great White Pelican at Lake Kerkini
There are Great White Pelicans at Lake Kerkini in Greece. There are fewer of them than Dalmatian Pelicans. Interestingly, Dalmatian Pelicans are white and Great White Pelicans are, at this time of the year, pale pink.
This one was flying near to our boat on the Lake and gave us a spectacular display of its flight feathers and that extraordinary bill.

We share the Earth with the strangest of creatures.
