Stonechat chicks

I’m catching up this week with all the things I should have done months ago. One of them is to post this small and lovely sequence.

This female Stonechat is busy and noisy. Isn’t she fabulous?

It’s soon clear why she’s a little anxious. There’s a youngster below, barely able to fly and clearly not long fledged.

The downturned gape makes it look unimpressed. Then I realise there’s another and leave them to their prickly Gorse.

What great entertainment.
