Bumbarrels

I can hear the Bumbarrels calling. There’s a distinctive contact call which they use as family groups move from tree to tree.

This one wasn’t calling, though. It was attempting to swallow a large spider and gagging a little.

And then it was off to join its Long-Tailed Bushtit family on their daily jaunt along the River and into the gardens and fields of Somerset.
