The Flow Country
RSPB Scotland Forsinard Flows is part of Europe’s largest blanket bog. It’s mile after mile of damp, squishy preserved vegetation, in many places as deep as a two-storey house.

The Flow Country also has high points, such as these, the Ben Griams:

Perhaps we could agree on ‘viewing tower. instead?
There are a few people viewing the scene and they ask why I’ve got my long-lens camera with me. “I’m waiting for an eagle to fly across in front of me, just there”, I say, pointing. If they could have sniggered, they would have.

The RSPB Scotland visitor centre at Forsinard is in the railway station buildings. As I get back to my car there, a White-Tailed Sea Eagle flies over from the direction of the viewing tower..
