Eastern Dappled White Butterfly
There are butterflies galore in Broken Tower Meadow, il Pratone di Torre Spaccata. Here’s one. I think it’s the Eastern Dappled White, Euchloe ausonia.

The meadow is vibrant with colour, with greens, purples and yellows galore and alive with insects. I take a few shots trying to give a sense of the vibrancy of the surroundings. Getting your background right is so important for this type of shot.

It could easily be ruined.
