Take-off
I had great fun with this pair of Common Kestrels in Rome last year. They were an endearing couple.
The tree in the middle of their territory was where they met most frequently in the middle of the day. I was delighted to see the male take off and I put together a composite photograph of his flight path:
I wish I was there with them now, with the scent of wild Thyme, the sound of Hooded Crows cawing in the distance, and the sun gradually burning my neck. Well, not so much the neck.
