Who lives in a house like this?
There’s one of the biggest nests I’ve seen up this tree in the centre of the wood.
It must be the nest of a Common Buzzard. They build several nests and only use one of them. I wonder if I can search for the rest of their nests and find them? Naturally I have to do it without disturbing them. That means spending a day sitting camouflaged at every site I find. There’s also the problem that people seem to think that they own land and that other people can’t even enter it. What a quaint, outdated concept that is.
Maybe all I’ll have at the end of the breeding season is photographs of empty nests and a few police warnings.
