Sticks on a stack
There’s a Herring Gull on the wall of the River Lemon. They always look as if they’re wearing strange flesh-coloured tights to me. I particularly like the colour coordination of the yellow eye with red ring and the yellow beak with red gonydial spot.
Yes, gonydial.
Then I spot its mate on a chimney stack. I think it could get very noisy around here this summer. There’s a pile of sticks up there which is their untidy nest.
Which reminds me, I really must tidy up my house.
