Return to Dipper beach
I was so delighted last time I visited my local Dippers on the River Lemon:
I decided to pay them another visit, this time, both morning and evening. After all, I’ve got to work sometime, haven’t I? Here they are doing a bit of dipping and diving for a living. We have that in common, at least:
It wasn’t great light by the time I tried some photographs, but I was so delighted when this one came closer and did a full dropped-wing display with a leaf in its mouth.

I needed to get lower to get the most flattering angle, but any lower and I would have been underwater.

They are still busy feeding their family.

I hope they raise a full brood and that I might hear the splash-splosh of little feet in the near future.
