House Sparrows

House Sparrows are exotic. Just look at this male:

They’re now so unusual that people often ask what they are, not knowing their name. This one’s prospecting for a house.

Here’s a female who will be making a nest choice quite soon.

Their social chirping in the bushes is an amusing accompaniment to my walk:

I’m looking forward to seeing their next generation emerging in a few months.
